There is a story behind this item.  For those of you who kept up with our recent 45 mile pilgrimage from Birmingham to Nomad's Land, you probably remember Kevin.  Kevin is one of the guys who set out to walk the 45 miles in one day.  His trip was a raging success (almost tripling his fund raising goal) and landed him in the hospital for a few days.  This is the stick that supported him for 40 miles.  Kevin carved this stick for the walk and has since carved 40 notches in it to represent the miles that he walked on Thursday, October 13th.
